Summer play with ice cube

During the hot days nothing better than a nice cooling down sensory play.
I just put some water with food coloring into  a sandwich bag and freeze for a few hours then add it to our sensory tab with a few rocks a toys.
The child may be surprise when they touch the ice as it is cold. They will see it slowly melt down and turn into water and take different shapes as it melt down. Lots of different concepts to discover with a simple playtime with a big ice cube. And it keep them cool for a little while.
