Today during a walk with my little one we found some gunnuts on the floor. We picked up a few with a couple of nice rocks and brought them home to make a nice sensory bin to play with.
I love the idea to pick up little tresors during our walk. It help the child to feel connected to his surrounding . They use they fine motor skills and eyes and hand coordination to pick up the tresors. As you talk to them about the trees or birds...it help them develop their languages skills as well. Once you are back home and do the sensory bin it is a nice way for them to use their memory.
So many good thing for them happen and help them develop during a nice little walk.
