Today im going to use old advertising magnet to create a gruffalo theme magnet board for my daughter.
It was a very quick and simple diy project my daughter love the gruffalo book. I thought it was a nice way to recycle some advertising magnet.

Materials used:
Scissors
Glue
Tape
Magnets
Magnet board
Gruffalo printed sheet
I simply paste the gruffalo's pictures on the magnet and cut it to the right size.

The child will move the magnet around make his own little story with the different animals, try to match the prints to the animal...
It is a nice way to get them to transfert their favourite story to a different support to stimulate their cognitive skills.
It help to stimulate their memory, they also transfering their knowledge of the story to the magnet board. They can also create a totally different story with their favourite characters and challenge their creativity and imagination.
